The 10-seater Kohlmaisbahn gondola valley station is located in the centre of Saalbach. The route is divided into Kohlmaisbahn I & II. The valley station at 1,026 m above sea level offers free Wi-Fi, a ski school and a large underground car park. On reaching the middle station at 1,390 m, you can either continue the ascent or get off and explore the Kohlmais Snow Trail. The Asteralm mountain hut is also located at the middle station. From the mountain station (1,794 m), you can either ski down into the valley on easy or intermediate slopes, or decide to continue towards Pründelkopf summit.
