General

What are the booking terms and conditions?

1. Scope
The following general reservation conditions shall apply between the company SKIPRO, Franz Pisek and the customer (hereinafter referred to as the hirer) and are strictly limited to the online reservation of ski and/or snowboard equipment.

2. Booking
Upon receipt of the online booking and checking all the data entered (clarification of all unclear points and any changes), SKIPRO will send the hirer a booking confirmation and invoice to the email address provided at the time of booking. Once the booking has been confirmed and payment has been made, the hirer will receive a voucher by email. This contains all the booking information provided by the hirer and entitles him or her to receive the skis and/or snowboard equipment at the branch specified. The photos and images on the website are for illustration purposes only and are not contractually binding. In any case, SKIPRO provides the customer with equipment in the quality selected for the booked category. The equipment provided is in good condition and suitable for normal use. SKIPRO reserves the right to reject bookings.

3. Prices
The hire price is to be paid online using a credit card. The prices for the selected equipment category are the "online booking prices" listed online for ski and snowboard equipment. In the event of a price difference between the price listed on the SKIPRO website and the price on the booking confirmation/invoice, the price on the booking confirmation/invoice is non-binding. The listed prices include all statutory taxes and duties. Family discount is granted if two parents hire skis or sets (from VIP3 * or snowboard). A maximum of 2 children under 10 years of age will then receive skis or sets free of charge (parents may be asked to present child IDs).

4. Complaints
Complaints of any kind relating to the booking must be sent in writing to SKIPRO immediately upon receipt of the booking confirmation/invoice. In the event complaints are submitted at a later point in time, the hirer shall bear all resulting losses.

5. Cancellation policy
Hirers have the option of purchasing Sport Easy Cancellation Insurance (5% off the standard price). In the event of cancellation, the Sport Easy Cancellation Insurance payment will not be returned.

For the case that a cancellation insurance was not purchased, the booking cannot be cancelled free of charge.

5.1: Immediate cancellation before hire period or after receipt of equipment
In the event of injury or illness (doctor's note must be submitted), the equipment must be returned immediately. In this case, the fee for the unused hire period will be refunded to the credit card used from the 1st day after the day the equipment is returned. A handling fee of 5% will be deducted.

5.2: Cancellation due to weather conditions
In the event of closure of the entire ski areas or the Glemmtal valley, the remaining hire days will be refunded provided this has been verified in a statement from the ski lift operator. The fee for the unused hire period will be refunded from the 1st day after the day the equipment is returned. The refund will be made to the credit card used, according the bank details provided for the customer's account.

If the equipment has not been used due to unfavourable weather or other hindrances, the hire price paid will not be refunded.

Under no circumstances will money be returned in the stores.

6. Insurance.
Our rental equipment is insured against breakage or damage caused by proper use. In the event of improper use, the hirer shall be liable for the current value or the cost of repair. The hirer agrees to use the rented equipment in a conventional manner. In the event of unconventional use, (e.g. riding on gravel roads, etc.), the hirer shall be charged, to the extent possible, for repairs or, if necessary, for replacement costs. In the event of theft, the hirer must report this to the police as well as to SKIPRO within 24 hours.

The hirer is responsible for ensuring that the rental equipment is stored in such a way that it cannot be mixed up or stolen. For this purpose, the skis should only be parked individually and separately from others or kept in ski safes. At night, the rental equipment should be stored in a locked ski storage room in the hirer's accommodation or in a locked vehicle.

In the event a police report is submitted, the hirer is obliged to pay an excess charge, unless Ski Pro Insurance has been taken out, in which case the excess charge is no longer applicable. A list of excess charges is available in our shops. The submission of a police report in the event of theft is mandatory.

7. Additional services
Additional services requested by the hirer are not included in the listed rental price (e.g. additional equipment, upgrading to a higher rental category, etc.). Additional services can only be agreed on site. Additional insurance can be purchased in the shop.

8. Receipt and return of the equipment
The tenant must present an official photo ID (passport or driving licence) upon request and agrees that a copy of this document will be made.

The hirer shall receive the ski and/or snowboard equipment on the first day of rental at the branch indicated on the voucher. The hirer has the option to take out the ski and/or snowboard equipment on the day prior to the start of the rental period from 4 pm.
The ski and/or snowboard equipment must be returned on the last day of the agreed rental period before the close of business. In the case of longer use of the ski and/or snowboard equipment, the difference between the actual period of use and the booked or paid rental period will be calculated at the standard rental prices listed in the shops and is payable on site.

In case of improper handling of the rental items for example driving on the road, driving in closed not prepared slopes etc. the ski price will be charged.

9. Issuing rental equipment
Please note that SKIPRO cannot issue rental items without payment via credit card or cash. We ask for your understanding!

10. Data protection
The hirer agrees to the collection and processing of his or her personal data for the settlement of rental invoices and for providing additional information to the hirer. SKIPRO agrees to use the data collected solely for the purposes listed above and not to pass them on to third parties. Our Privacy Policy, in according with the General Data Protection Regulations dated 25.05.2018, can be found in the legal notice.

11. Governing law and place of jurisdiction
Austrian law shall apply exclusively to these general booking conditions. The sole place of jurisdiction is Zell am See. SKI PRO reserves the right to take legal action against the hirer in the district of its registered office or before any other competent court or competent authority.
